Fuckin' A George Takei!

George Takei says Clint McCance is "a douchebag - that's right, a douchebag."

You gotta see that shit to believe it! It's awesome.

See, I'm not as nice as Mr. Takei. I do wish bad shit on someone who'd say something so cruel to people when they're so vulnerable. So I'd like to say to Mr. McCance . . .

FUCK YOU!!!

And I hope you get anally invaded by space aliens.

While I did love Takei's takedown, I gotta say that rape threats are totally not cool.

. . . a lot of it [fostering rather than smothering students' playwriting] has to do with finding a way to construct a dialogue about ongoing work that empowers the writer. A lot of it has to do with making sure there's a diversity of voices around you. A lot of it has to do with thinking of the writing program as a brain trust for writers, not as some infantilization in which the dramaturg gets the power.
