It's a super liberal, left wing city.<br /><br />When I moved to New York I realized it's easier to be liberal in a city like Seattle. Everybody is white* and has the same amount of money and education, so your alleged "open mindedness" is never, ever challenged.<br /><br />*This isn't technically true. There are a lot of wealthy Japanese folks. There are also a lot of homeless Native Americans.
